WORSHIP/MUSIC

Jesus told the woman at the well, “An hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. ²⁴ God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” 

Worship is solely about magnifying the glory of God – His Character and His Works.   When God is glorified, we are compelled to respond in worship through song and by living for Him daily.  There is something special that happens when we come together as the family of God to worship Him.

 Throughout the Old and New Testament, we find many scriptures which invite us to lift up the Name of God through song:

⁸ Oh give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples.
 ⁹ Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; speak of all His wonders.
 ¹⁰ Glory in His holy name; let the heart of those who seek the Lord be glad.  1 Chronicles 16:8-10 

 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.  Colossians 3:16

Be filled with the Spirit, ¹⁹ speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; ²⁰ always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father.  Ephesians 5:18b-20

OPPORTUNITIES FOR SERVICE

Choir Member

The choir serves a vital role of the worship ministry.  The choir is made up of people who know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and have a passion to lead the church in worship by presenting the truth of the Good News of Jesus Christ through song.  There is no prerequisite musical skill necessary to join.  Weekly Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 7:45 PM in the Sanctuary. 

Instrumental Musicians

Musicians have a vital role in the worship service. We currently have openings for guitar and drums. If you have experience and are looking to serve on the team, please reach out to Kaye Bazal.
